This nonprofit organization provides recreational facilities for children up to 17 years of age in lower-income neighborhoods. Kirksey architects have designed 4 facilities---the Jim and Barbara Morefield Branch, the Shell Branch, the South Post Oak Community Center, and the Spring Branch Family Development Center. These Boys and Girls Clubs of Houston recreation centers provide gymnasiums, locker rooms, game rooms, arts and crafts rooms, learning centers, computer labs, athletic fields, teen centers, and administrative space. |
