Community Awards

Community

Kirksey serves our community through both large- and small-scale initiatives. On a more broad scale, our sustainability efforts have led to more than 27 million square feet of LEED® projects. Additionally, we continue each December to plant trees in honor of our clients and friends. Begun in 1987, our annual holiday tree planting tradition has allowed us to plant more than 8,000 trees throughout Houston, improving communities by offsetting carbon emissions and beautifying neighborhoods.

On a more personal scale, Kirksey works directly with several organizations to further their causes and initiatives. Some of these organizations include the Escape Family Resource Center, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston, Inc., the Houston Parks Board, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center (quarterly blood drives at Kirksey), the US Green Building Council, Trees for Houston, the Houston Food Bank (Canstruction annual event), East Fort Bend County Human Needs (annual spring food drive), and Neighborhood Centers Inc. (annual Adopt-an-Angel program).
