Kirksey Awarded Mayor's Proud Partner for basicGREEN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Honor Awarded for Kirksey's Commitment to Environment

HOUSTON, TEXAS — Mayor Bill White and the Keep Houston Beautiful organization have named Kirksey the Mayor’s Proud Partner for the basicGREEN™ program.  Selection was based on remarkable ingenuity, outstanding leadership and dedication to the environment and the Houston community.

“This year’s honorees have taken our mantra of Reduce, Recycle and Reuse to a whole new level.  The competition was fierce and it was difficult to choose from the record number of applications submitted.  Each winner is genuinely and outstanding example of what dedication to community and quality of life can achieve,” Bill Linthicum, Chairman of Keep Houston Beautiful.

To ensure healthy environments for all of our projects, Kirksey developed a basicGREEN program that prescribes sustainable design measures to be implemented on every project, regardless of LEED® Certification and at no added cost. Kirksey specializes in sustainable architecture, interior design and master planning, designing high-performance, healthy buildings for all of our clients.
