Central Houston, Inc. and the Downtown Management District suffered a fire in their lease space on the 16th floor of the Two Houston Center Building on Fannin Street. The design of the 6,700-sf office space aimed to create a spare, modern setting that celebrates downtown Houston for both its history and its promising future within a very modest budget. Design features include a Houston memorabilia wall created from salvaged work surfaces from the fire, a cove lit ceiling mural of historic contemporary Houston landmarks, and super-graphics depicting column details on downtown buildings.
