The CYVIZ Technology Center Houston project is a 7,000-sf technology showroom, in a museum-like setting, for a Norweigian-based projection and technology company serving mainly oil and oil services companies. The showroom demonstrates CYVIZ’s proprietary projection technologies, which are usually associated with “dark caves,” but in this solution in a humanized, light-filled interior. The technology is integrated into the architecture, but not hidden, and becomes part of the actual functioning conferencing and video-conferencing spaces. Hospitality elements highlight the showroom and provide accommodations for groups ranging from 4 to 70 people. The showroom also functions as a sales office with provisions for a staff of six and was designed to easily incorporate technology changes and future expansion.
