Kirksey provided full-scope interior architecture services for the US Operating division of the Italian oil company ENI, encompassing 141,000-sf of space on five floors of Two Allen Center in downtown Houston. The space consists mostly of enclosed offices and contains central employee break areas on each floor, featuring commercial espresso machines reflective of the company’s Italian background. The light fixtures slowly oscillate from red to yellow, reincorporating the company’s brand. In the coffee break area, the yellow glass wall also serves as a writing/brainstorming component, and the white light fixture changes from white to red to green as a tip of the hat to the company’s Italian heritage.
