The 5 & 7 Grille at Minute Maid Park is an Interior Renovation of an existing Kirksey project, Ruggles Grille , which then became 9 Amigos.

The 5 & 7 Grille was named after two Astros star players, Craig Biggio and Jeff Bagwell. The restaurant is owned by the Astros and operated by Aramark. The space is a multi-level mixed use space which encompasses “The Grille” for casual dining and a bar to accommodate any mixed drinks. “ The Loft” is the upstairs area which has a tequila bar as well as game area with pool tables, lounge seating and a Wii station. “The Patio” section located outside, in front  of the restaurant across the concourse, has a bar with seating and plenty of standing room.

The design is inspired by downtown loft living and working with existing exposed beams, ductwork and steel structure. A new “wood-like” porcelain floor was installed along with oversized black& white photography vinyl wallcovering of the two players. Large neon numbers are randomly placed in the space.

A new bar was designed and installed downstairs and adjacent to the bar is a large column light column glowing in orange light. Accents of orange walls and grey tones compliment the walls. All furniture in the space except for the booths and dining tables were existing furniture that has been refurbished and re-used.
