Pathfinder Energy Services is a corporate, research and manufacturing facility campus for a fast-growing energy technology company, which includes 106,000-sf research and development facility and 83,000 sf of manufacturing space. The campus contains approximately 30,000 sf of specialized equipment testing and secure hazardous materials storage. Building D of the Pathfinder campus contains two pressure vessel wells designed and documented by the Kirksey A&E team with coordination from Pathfinder. Both pressure vessel wells are precast sections stacked as they were buried into the ground using a caisson method of excavation. The deepest vessel well was 25’-0” deep. The control area was protected by 8’-0” tall reinforced CMU walls and all the vessel wells were properly ventilated and conditioned. Kirksey performed a full range of professional services including master planning, architectural, and interior design services.
