Strake Jesuit is a four- year, Catholic college preparatory school for young men in 9th through 12th grade. The school has seen a steady growth in the student body for decades and to accommodate the growth, Kirksey was commissioned to master plan and design two new facilities—a 30,000-sf Student Center and a 22,500-sf Classroom & Technology Building. The Student Center includes a 1,000-seat auditorium, a 4,000-sf lobby, and a music department with classrooms and large rehearsal space. The Classroom & Technology Building features integrated digital projection, Smart Board© technology in every classroom, and a fully computerized foreign language lab. Additionally, Kirksey designed the new tennis and aquatics facility, new football stadium, new fieldhouse, new basketball arena, and new maintenance building.
