Kirksey, in association with Pepper Lawson Construction, recently completed a new 984-bed graduate and professional student housing complex on the University of Houston campus. This 7-, 8-, 9- and 10-story complex hosts a combination of studio, 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments. Loft features include 10-foot ceilings, kitchens with granite countertops, a stove, refrigerator and microwave (dishwashers in 2-bedroom units), furnished and unfurnished options, universal wi-fi, web-interfaced room thermostats, and exposed concrete ceilings and floors for a modern, urban feel. The project also contains retail space and various amenity spaces including a fitness center, nine laundry lounges, community room, two classrooms, 15 study lounges, sky lounge, movie theater and two roof-top terraces with views across the campus and city.

The project is located along Calhoun Road in the northeast corner of the UH campus, adjacent to the Bauer College of Business, the Law Center, and the Cullen College of Engineering. This project is being designed to meet the needs of the target population of single and married graduate and professional students. The project will also offer opportunities for the larger campus community to co-mingle, and to enjoy leisure time in a relaxing environment.
