8th Annual Young Professionals Happy Hour

Kirksey’s 8th Annual Young Professionals Happy Hour was a resounding success, featuring great food, live music, good company, and a little bit of baseball.

Each year, the event brings together clients, brokers, and general contractors for an evening of networking on the Kirksey campus. 

The annual happy hour was inspired by Founder John Kirksey’s belief that the connections he made as a young professional evolved with him and quickly became invaluable later in his career. To give Kirksey’s young professionals a platform for cultivating those types of relationships, John suggested hosting an event on the Kirksey campus. Eight years later and it’s a staple in the fall event schedule and continues to grow each year.

This year, nearly 200 people from across the AEC industry joined Kirksey employees on the patio where recording artist Paige Lewis performed familiar hits, prompting sing-alongs and a few dance sessions. Inside, guests were treated to hands-on displays of current design technology, including 3D printers, Eco-tech, drone demonstrations, and Virtual Reality walk-throughs. On the lawn, party-goers played yard games and watched the Astros World Series push on one of two outdoor screens. Perfect weather accompanied delicious hors-d'oeuvres provided by Benjy’s to complete the evening.
