Kirksey designed Brazosport College’s Dow Academic Center, a gateway facility between the College and the surrounding Lake Jackson community. The Academic Center unites the campus with the community, supporting activities for both students and local residents including graduations and other large-scale, non-theatrical events. Additionally, the facility includes classrooms, administrative offices, a prep kitchen for food preparation and staging, a dining room for small functions, an adjacent conference room, and an outdoor plaza for reception overflow and outdoor events.
