The Kirksey and Crafton Tull team was selected to design a new 114,000 sf, 380-bed residence hall which will be situated behind the visitor side of Estes Stadium. An additional 10,500 sf will be incorporated into the 5th floor of Bear Hall to serve as 11 stadium skyboxes with an adjoining lobby and other amenities. Along with flexible suites, the residence hall is equipped with common areas, classroom/meeting spaces, laundry lounges and other student service facilities. The facility incorporates sustainable design concepts and is pursuing LEED Certification.

This new addition to the UCA campus will be the best of both form and function meeting the needs of student life, academics and athletics.

Spearheading collegiate projects, Steve's experience spans everything from dining halls and academic buildings to athletic facilities and religious institutions. Early in his 21-year career at Kirksey, Steve initiated the Outreach Committee which offers opportunities for staff members to volunteer their time for various local communities and non-profit organizations. He also leads the firm's membership in The 1%, a program connecting non-profits to architecture firms willing to provide pro bono services.
