Award Recognizes Individuals Who Excel at Leadership in Their Fields

HOUSTON, TEXAS – Kirksey Architecture is proud to announce that Catherine Callaway, AIA, LEED AP, a senior associate on the firm’s Community Team, was named a “40 Under 40” honoree by the Houston Business Journal. Every year, the Houston Business Journal recognizes 40 individuals who excel at leadership, overcoming challenges and community involvement. This year, more than 500 individuals from across all industries were nominated.

“We are so proud of Catherine’s accomplishments. She has shown a true passion for her community and continues to be a leader within the firm and the industry,” said Janis Brackett, AIA, LEED AP, Community Team Leader at Kirksey.

Catherine’s dedication to the field of architecture as President-elect of AIA Houston, her commitment to community through her work on the Sunset Coffee Building in downtown Houston, and her enthusiasm for her city are just a few of the reasons she was selected for this well-deserved honor.

“I’m humbled to be included with this impressive group of people, and am honored to be accepting this award,” said Catherine. “I am grateful for the support of family, friends, and colleagues throughout my life. Their daily encouragement and inspiration has allowed me to achieve beyond what I could have imagined.”

Catherine will be recognized at the 40 Under 40 event on October 27, to be held at The Astorian, and all honorees will be profiled in a special section in the October 28 weekly edition.
