Beyond the runway, the Kirksey team also made a significant philanthropic impact.
Kirksey Architecture’s Product Runway team made a strong statement at this year’s IIDA Product Runway event—bringing home two major awards: Most Innovative Team and Most Philanthropic Team. Held annually, Product Runway is a one-of-a-kind design competition where architecture and design firms partner with manufacturers to create high-fashion garments using architectural materials, all while supporting a good cause.
This year’s theme, High-Tech Couture, challenged teams to merge fashion and innovation using nontraditional materials. The Kirksey team embraced the concept with creativity and precision, producing a standout look that impressed the judges and audience alike. The result: the Most Innovative Team award for pushing the boundaries of material use and design execution.
With more than 70 volunteer hours logged and over $2,500 raised for the Houston Furniture Bank, the team earned the Most Philanthropic Team honor. Additionally, custom art pieces created by the team were auctioned for $800 during the event’s live auction, further supporting the cause.
“Thanks to everyone who contributed time, creativity, and energy to bring our High-Tech creation to life—and to the entire event team for organizing such a fun and meaningful evening,” said a team member.
We’re proud of our team’s talent, dedication, and community spirit—and honored to be recognized among the best. Congratulations to everyone involved!
