Kirksey Houston office

LEED Gold New Construction

Houston, Texas

Project Features
  • Collaborative workplace
  • Custom carpet featuring aerial photo of Houston
  • Art niche for rotating local artists' work

Designed originally in 1999 and refreshed in 2019, the Kirksey Houston office was designed as a true studio environment hosting an open and collaborative workplace that takes advantage of the generous volume and natural light that fills the space. A series of conference rooms in the lobby are supported by a central “help yourself” beverage bar that doubles as a touchdown zone for pre and post meeting activity. The conference room flooring is a custom carpet that uses a black and white aerial photo of Buffalo Bayou from the Houston ship channel to the beltway including the Kirksey office itself. A feature wall hosts an art rotation program and pops of color punctuate the neutral, timeless pallet throughout.
