Kirksey provided interior architecture services for Motiva in Downtown Houston. After completing four floors for the client in 2014, Kirksey was retained to expand the company's existing presence with the addition of a new reception area and state-of-the-art conferencing center for visitors, expanding the exposure of their brand and generating business downtown. The design, an extension of the client's existing workplace, utilizes innovative uses of high-end finishes throughout–stone-facing millwork, marble-cladded hallways, light boxes with company imagery, a 30-foot-tall water fountain located in the internal double-width staircase that serves as a primary focal point, and a pre-function area featuring glass that opens up completely and creates an indoor/outdoor space with a furnished patio.
