  • Large ballroom that seats 240
  • Chef's table with private dining area

Kirksey was selected to design the new space for the Petroleum Club of Houston, a historic private dining and business club founded in 1946, which will open its doors in late January 2015. With downtown skyline views still intact, the club's new home will be located at the top floor of Total Plaza at 1201 Louisiana. Regular members include the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Houston Chemical Association and the Geophysical Society of Houston.

Great care was taken to keep the traditional design elements and tasteful accents that mark the "Mad Men" mod era of the club's 1963 design and current location at 800 Bell. Timeless and elegant, the new space will feature a large ballroom, private dining area, a "chef's table" for a more intimate dining experience, and a high-end English pub that overlooks a sweeping view of the Houston skyline.
