The new 40-floor, 950,000-sf Shell Downstream North America Headquarters project is designed to ensure staff can perform to their fullest potential with the latest planning and technology advancement. The design focuses on resource savings and occupant health and well-being as fundamental driving principles. Kirksey employed Shell’s new global design philosophy, Shell Connect, with strict guidelines ranging from space planning to graphics. The renovated tenant spaces include highly collaborative environments with a variety of room sizes for different purposes, open and private offices, conference rooms, energy hubs/ break rooms and a 19,000-sf fitness center. The project has many specific purposed spaces such as teleconferencing, security monitoring rooms, clinic, auditorium, visitor center, learning center, mail receiving facility, gaming/lounge, and meditation space.

This project was completed on an aggressive 24 month schedule and in an occupied space with phased construction.
